We're sharing a recent announcement & update post from the community by Mike Williams, which is more about the marketplace resources we've created for our community members. This was originally shared as a post in the community here.
Hey all, we’ve had lots of new members join us recently, so I wanted to share a post here with more about our marketplace resources that we’ve created for community members. As a reminder, you can also find all our our resources on the marketplaces resources section on our main platform.
This post will be sharing an overview of our resources, how you can use them to make progress with your marketplace (across various stages), and more. I’ll also include links to some of the detailed user manuals that we’ve created for them.
We've created comprehensive guides & step-by-step tutorials you can use for initially learning how to build, launch, operate, and scale a marketplace. Examples of this are The Guide To No Code Marketplaces and How to onboard supply & optimize listings.

We've created a marketplace toolkit you can use to easily find everything you need to build, run, and scale your marketplace. We have categories like payments, user verifications, search & ranking, insurance providers, and more. We also include details about each tool, examples of marketplaces that use them, reviews, and even tutorials or links to posts in the community about them on toolkit listings.

Every month we have community workshops, which are live workshops led by domain experts covering specific topics that are relevant to us all as marketplace founders & teams. We've had 25+ workshops on topics like search & ranking, payments, insurance, low frequency marketplaces, and more. In addition to these being community events, we also share workshop recap posts with the recordings & notes from them here in the community. We also add them to our main platform and you can see an example of how we add all of our workshops to our main platform here.

Every (or almost) week we have marketplace founders & leaders join us for live group chats to share their marketplace experience, learnings, and insights with us. We've had 160+ group chats with guests like Andrew Chen from a16z, Grant LaFontaine from Whatnot, Bastian Lehmann from Postmates, Marco Zappacosta from Thumbtack, James Currier from NFX, Spencer Rascoff from Zillow, and others join us. In addition to these being community events, we also share recap posts with the recordings & notes from them here in the community. We've created a marketplace investor database so you can easily find some of the most active marketplace investors when fundraising (from Pre-Seed to Series A+). This ranges from strategic angels, to partners at top funds like NFX, Marketplace Capital, and more.

We've created a jobs board to help feature jobs from top marketplaces part of our community that are hiring. Our jobs board curates jobs that are shared in our share jobs space. You can find jobs at marketplaces like Thumbtack, Turo, Bounce, Whatnot, and more that are actively hiring.

We created our Marketplace Knowledge Hub to make it easy to find content for learning about marketplaces and specific topics. Our knowledge hub has 650+ of the best blog posts, essays, podcasts, group chat recordings, and other content on marketplaces. We’ve also recently added new filters, categories, and functionality for saving or bookmarking content.

Marketplace School is our online course for learning how to build & launch a marketplace startup. It’s self-guided and the goal is to help founders learn how to build a successful marketplace (also have a better onboarding experience into the community). We've created the Marketplace School curriculum (100+ modules) and course material to help guide founders every step along the way of going from initial idea to launch, building liquidity, to even considerations when scaling at later stages. Hopefully this helps everyone learn more about all of our resources, how you can use them to make progress with your marketplace, and also leverage the community & network by using them. We’re always updating our marketplace resources, so be sure to keep an eye out for posts where we’ll be sharing more about big updates that we’ll be making soon.
Lastly, please let me know if you have any feedback on our resources, requests for new resources, or even suggestions so we can continue to improve them. We once again create all of our resources so we can scale our ability to help founders with needs like learning about marketplaces, going from 0-1, fundraising, hiring, growth stage challenges, and more. The more feedback we hear from everyone, the more we can continue to improve them.
